As poster girls for the adage, “experience is the best teacher,” we take our continuing education very seriously and have traveled near and far to learn as much as possible about champagne and sparkling wines. We’ve swooned over the finest rare vintages and raved over surprising small discoveries that we love to share with others.

More About Deidre…

This Louisiana native is known for her mind-blowing gumbo and her knowledge of champagne…and she really knows how to put the two together. Whether it’s a classic brut bubbly paired with crawfish boudin or a chic grand cru sparkler coupled with her spicy jambalaya, Deidre knows her way around a kitchen and a magnum of a big house or a small producer. She has a certificate from France’s Comite de Champagne and spends most of her free time studying champagne… when she’s not tasting it!

Laura is a veteran freelance writer with a focus on travel, food, wine, beer and humor. She has published hundreds of articles in newspapers, magazines and websites such as Taste and Travel, Real Simple, The Dallas Morning News, and Family Fun. But her favorite subject to investigate is sparkling wine, and she has visited and written about winemakers in Champagne, throughout Napa and Sonoma, and all around the globe.
